Self-adaptive mechanism is a kind of special and used extensively mechanism in engineering. When the testing and control do not be required or the testing and control can't be carried out, only depend on its structure, this kind of mechanical system can auto-adapt the changes of size and position and figure etc. of its work object in definite extension. And the whole device is a quiescent or over quiescent system when the device at working. This kind of mechanism have a function of self-adaptation, it belongs to the category of intelligent mechanism. Intelligently is the inevitable developing direction of mechanical subject. Intellectualized production is the new production of intellectualized mechanical industry developing in the future. Unfold basal research of machine intelligence and intelligent machinery is the developing and investigative direction with strategic meaning. It is obvious that innovation design self-adaptive mechanism is an approach of intelligence for mechanical structure. Therefore, study effective approach and method of innovation design for self-adaptive mechanism is important and active meaning to improve the performance of mechanism.In this paper, study on the characteristics of self-adaptive mechanism and design of composing types and design of function and structure and analysis of statics and order of kinematic-transfer of self-adaptive mechanism with internal force exerting have been carried out deeply and systematically. The definition of "self-adaptive mechanism" was perfected. Self-adaptive mechanism was classified for the first time. Ecumenic method and process of synthesis and function structural design of self-adaptive mechanism with internal force exerting were summed up. Using the equation leading method we obtained each kind of possible structural combinations less than 8 poles (include 8poles) with 0 and — 1 freedom degree. Using topology method combined with digital muster we obtained synthesis of concessional kinematic chains correspond to possible combinations which can be used for structural design of self-adaptive mechanism with internal force exerting. Ecumenic principle and process of kinematic chains selecting and function structural design were summed up. Design examples and multiple project designs of self-adaptive mechanism with internal force exerting were carried out. The key-gemel placed according to the considering of system and members static balance and obtain maximal force increasing and work reliably. The device statics was analyzed and the order of kinematic-transfer matter in the operative course was analyzed too.
