This paper based on key tackle technology project of Zhe Jiang province "Research on Product Design and Production of Management Information Systems In Response to Quick customer demand and its applying for Auto Parts Manufacturing" (Item No. 2004C11004), research on rapid design technological and system of the products deeply. Present the methodology of products rapid design for Motor Parts and similar examples retrieval solutions of Using Product, Part Family Group Method and Nearest-neighbor Method and knowledge Indexing Method, design and develop rapid design system. for Auto Parts.Chapter â…  discussed the concept and the rise of the rapid design, introduce current state of the retrieval methods of the similar example and the development process of the CAD technology. finally given the background of this study, the purpose of the research and the main content of the study.Chapter â…¡ analyses auto parts design process of The Ruili Corporation, summarize the rapid design requirements of The Ruili Corporation, and present the Rapid Design process of the auto parts, finally given branch of the methods of the Rapid Design.Chapter â…¢ gives the overall blue print of the Product Rapid Design System, sets up the major functional models of the system. These functional include Project Management Module, Product Outline Design module, The Module of Smilarities Retrieval based on PDM system, Product Modelling Module, Variant Design Module, Knowledge Management Module ,the Calculation and Simulation Module and Innovative Design Module.
