In this dissertation, the automatic detector of dielectric strength between flakes of commutator for single-phase series motor is studied. The research focuses on the flexibility, the automation and the high efficiency of the detector. This dissertation is arranged as follows. In chapter 1, the development background of this assignment is briefly introduced. The present research and using situation in the detector of dielectric strength between flakes of commutator at home and abroad is reviewed. The design objective and chief assignment of the detector is confirmed by the company's demands and some related standard. In chapter 2, the components of the detector's mechanism are expounded. The last blue print is that the step-motor is used to drive the commutator rotate and there are two detector devices beside the commutator. During the designing the theory of human engineering is used to improve the detector's reliability, the safety and the operated conformability. In chapter 3, Measurement & Control system is based on the MCS-51 chip. The control system and the detector's mechanism fulfill the targets of the detector's flexibility and the automation. The high voltage circuit offers the detecting voltage and carries out the high reliability. In chapter 4, the software structure of the detector's control system is introduced. The structured programming method is used to improve the software's reliability and the simplicity of operating maintenance. In chapter 5, the essence of the commutation's dielectric strength detecting is one of screening test of reliability. The feasibility of modifying the detecting parameter is analyzed in theory to improve the efficiency of the detector. In chapter 6, main achievements of the dissertation are summarized and the further research work, which will be done in the near future now on is put forward.
