Analysis Of The Traffic Parameters On The Base Of Traffic Investigation In The Port Roadway

The assembling & evacuating capability of container port is one of the important criterions of the service level of port.Today,the competition of port hinterland is becoming more and more hotly.How to make logistics,sailer flow and vehicle flow expedite and how to improve the efficiency and service level of port have become the desiderated problems that influence the development and the competition of port.Nowadays,the studies of how to improve the efficiency of port still concentrate on the load and unload system,the communication management and the strobe. However,the influence of traffic jam on the port roadway has not been paid much attention.In this paper,a new idea is presented that settle the problem of traffic j am by determining the optimum length of the roadway on the basis of the traffic investigation of the container truck flow.After consulting the investigation methods of city roadway and expressway in home and abroad and considering the characteristics of the port traffic,an investigation program on the roadway of port was made,which was proved to be scientific and feasible.According to the program,a field survey ofthe traffic parameters was put into practice and the reliable and accurate measured data was obtained.By the analysis of the data,the parameter reflected the viscosity of the container truck flow in the port roadway was determined.At the mean time,taking account of the results in the field survey,two hypotheses are presented.One is the jam density wave transmits to the upriver of the truck flow at a regular speed.The other is there is density break state.According to the hypotheses,the formula of the optimum length of the roadway that holds the most capability of traffic and has no traffic jam was updated.On the basis of the hypothesis of the linear density distribution,the difficulty of time and space integration was solved by the geometry principle.
