With the development of the western region and the vigorous development of hydroelectric energy development, such as Zipingpu, Wawushan, Xiaotiandu, Ziyili, Muzuo, Renzonghai hydropower station and a number of high flood peak hydropower stations are under construction or will be developed. High flood peak pressure underground penstock has been widely adopted, Analyzing the stress of underground penstock and the surrounding rock work together scientific and rational, profit the design of program, reduce construction costs, ensure project safety, for the actual project-buried-pressure pipeline design, construction, the key technical issues must be resolved one.The underground penstock of Wawushan station have such traits: small cover, complex geological conditions, and the design consist of considerable difficulties. Meanwhile, a joint power supply Wawushan, the diameter of the main pipe of branch pipe is about 5.8 metres, the largest of the water pressure (including water attacking pressure) is 379 metres, the HD which is one of the largest branch pipes in China is nearly 2,200㎡.The safety of the underground penstock and the branch pipe can be directly related to the normal operation of the station, so the study of the Wawushan station's underground penstock is very necessary.The text is in relevant determining geological parameters, internal water pressure, and external pressure premise, through the calculation of the initial fitting, analyzes and researches the surrounding rock by the pressure of the joint stability and resistance to external pressure.
