The BF flexible transmission is widely applied to heavy load and low speed equipments such as round kiln, cylinder mix machine, dry machine, mixer and crusher, etc. It can solve the problems existing in the traditional equipments that the low speed class gear and twist strength are too big. It has many advantages, such as good transmission capability, high carrying capacity, convenient install support and simple foundation, etc. In recent years, it not only gets the satisfying application, but also gets widely expansion in domestic. It shows strong vitality because of its galactic social economic benefit. But the design of BF flexible transmission is still lack in the thorough research.Aiming at the problem of BF flexible transmission's gear pressure asymmetry, this paper puts forward a project of structure's improvement–the big mandril project. The big mandril is designed so that the pressure asymmetry can be completely removed in theory, and the service life of the BF flexible transmission be consumedly raised. In order to improve the asymmetry of gear pressure of the existing BF flexible transmission configuration, the BF flexible transmission statics equation is built up, and the optimization model is concluded. The optimal result is obtained by the intelligent optimization algorithms program. Compared to the original design, the optimal design has the total gear pressure from 39564.26N to 6981.77N, ?eclined 82.3% and the index of gear pressure uniformity from 37002.54N to 3487.99N, declined 90.6%, respectively.The optimization technique iówidely applied in many engineering fields.
