Research On Optical Detector Head's Function Based On CMM

Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) is a kind of high precise and efficient apparatus. With the development of measurement technology, how to strengthen its function more quickly and efficiently becomes a hotspot for many manufacturers and researchers. This article research on optical detector head's function based on CMM on Mahr, a Germany Company, makes CMM with contact detectors and non-contact detectors (optical probes). For applying different detector heads to different mearand, Measurements of Multiple detectors can make it easier to brush away difficulties in the course of measurement than measurement of single detector. Because optical detectors have disadvantage of low precision over contact detectors, its limited application prevented its extension of CMM of Mahr. It is a key spot for Mahr how to improve precision of optical detectors and strengthen its functions of CMM.For the poor support of the software of Mahr's CMM to optical detectors'functions, there is more spare room to research and develop. Our department cooperates with Mahr and starts the research . This article discussed measurement theory of optical probes of Mahr's CMM. And In the course of research a lot of experiments have been carried out, and improved method as well as its range of application have been obtained.
