With the development of electric control technique of engine, people are not satisfied with the traditional predetermined optimum control method of table look-up. The newest achievements in control fields such as self-adapting control, fuzzy control, ANN and fuzzy ANN are being applied gradually in engine control. Because of the simulation of the human brain structure, the artificial ANN, which features structuralisms as its research method, possesses the ability of thinking in images and the ability of recognizing and handling fuzzy or random signals, and it arouses people's great interests by solving non-structured problems. It is becoming a new favorable field in the artificial intelligence theory research.Ignition energy is one of important indexes of measuring ignition system's performance of gasoline engine, and the performance of power and economy of a engine is directly influenced by it. If ignition energy is too low, the engine of power will decrease, oil exhausting will increase, even the flameout of engine will take place. The opposition will make energy wasted, and reduce the lifetime of ignition system in the meantime. The design of ignition system currently usually pay attention to how to raise ignition energy, and make it possible to satisfy the demand of ignition under various work condition.
