In this paper, a type of electronic control device for city bus braking energy regeneration system isdeveloped, which combines the technology of computer control and sensor. The bus braking energyregeneration system installed in Zhongtong Bus Holding Co. ltd's city bus LCK6850CHDD was used ascontrol object. The intelligent control of energy regeneration of city bus braking is archieved.The development of the vehicle braking energy regeneration technology board and abroad is introduced.Based on analying the principle of work of the braking energy regeneration of city bus and its control requests,the electronic control device for city bus is researched and designed. Recognition methods for processingtechnique drive intent and road condition are also discussed. All of these analyzed laid the ground work forcity bus braking energy's regeneration's intelligent control of driver-vehicle-road system.The controlparameters are specified and total scheme of city bus braking energy regeneration system has been issued.Further more, the work modes of control system are analyzed. In the design and selection of sensors, laystress on the principle of vehicle speed measurement, the constructional design of sensor and measurementprocess. According to the principle of work of hydraulic control part and control requirements, the hardwarecircuit is designed, including control core adopting A89C52 single-chip microcomputer, analogue and digitsignals input and output circuit, the signal processing circuit, A/D conversion circuit and power circuit. As thecounterpart, the software function module is explained as well, which consists of main control module,initialization module, A/D conversion module, vehicle speed measurement module, work mode recognitionand RS232C serial communication module. The anti-jamming design and debugging process are stated.Through the anology debug of ECU, the electronic control system can work well.
