Driver fatigue endangers traffic safety increasingly. Driving is mainly composed of perception and information processing, the deterioration of driving ability owning to entironment factors which lead to driver fault. High temperature, desolate entironment and lack of stimulation, these special entironment conditions of the Desert Highway result in driver fatigue easily. Consequently, the study of driver fatigue is fairly important to prevent traffic incidents.Through Question-and-Answer survey and experimental test, the thesis specialize driver fatigue of the Desert Highway. According to Question-and-Answer survey, high temperature is the best important factor of the entironment factors for the Desert Highway safety and nearly all of driver have a certain amount of physical and psychological changes while driving on the Desert Highway. Many factors, including road entironment, the driver's physical and psychological changes and absence of sleeping etc, make driver fatigue easily. According to the analysis of the driver's physical and psychological changes and entironment, salience factors of fatigue influence are chosen. According to testing of driver fatigue,firstly, the fatigue model is built with BP neural network. Sencondly, adopting Principle Component Regression, it is obtained that fatigue factors influence degree of driver fatigue.
