Preliminary Study On Urban Wetland Park Planning

The wetland is important national territory resource and is also natural resource. Based on its ecology function, it is vividly called "kidney of the Earth". Urban wetland, as a major type of wetland, is closely related with the development of the city. It offers many kinds of resources for production and living of the city, and also offers important ecological services and landscape functions. With the quickening urbanization process of our country, all the constructions and developments of the city had brought some "disasters" to urban wetland. How to protect urban wetland in a better way and play the comprehensive benefit of it had become an urgent difficult problem which had to be solved.Because of the special environment of the city, it was unsuitable to protect urban wetland in the form of natural reserve area of wetland. Under such background, urban wetland park appeared, it had partly solved the difficult problem of urban wetland's protection and development. It is considered to be a good pattern in protecting urban wetland. In order to promote healthy development of urban wetland park, the planning of it seems very important, therefore, it has a vital significance to study the theoretical research and practicing exploration of its planning.The study of this paper mainly includes these following parts: Through understanding of wetland, especially of urban wetland, definition, types, characteristics and functions of them have been explained; The concept and types of urban wetland park, as well as the functions and significances of its construction have been pointed out; Through introduction and study of some domestic and international urban wetland parks, the paper summarizes some successful experiences of it and also points out some problems in its development; Using relevant theories, including sustainable development theory, landscape ecology theory, ecological restoration theory, environment supporting capacity theory, relaxation theory, and community theory, the theory of the planning of urban wetland park is preliminary studied, the methods which should be used in its planning are also pointed out. In addition, the goals and basic principles of its planning have been explained; On the basis of theoretical research, the main contents and methods of planning are discussed with the planning example of the Xixi wetland park of HangZhou; At the end of the paper, some suggestions on the development of urban wetland park of our country have been pointed out.Through this study, the development of urban wetland park of our country is summarized. The planning of it is preliminary studied, and the paper will provide theoretical instruction for the planning of urban wetland park in the future.
