The application of infrared thermopraphy is still at its seedtime in civil engineering. Besides its nondestructive, fast, noncontact features, it can also detect from a long distant and in a large area. it can infer the working situation from the exploration of the objects'surface temperature distribution. This technology is a brand-new and sensitive detection method, a good surveillance way as well. In addition, the analysis and research on some key techniques of the IR thermography to the structure of civil engineering can promote its application and development. This article studies on bonded quality of the IR thermography to the decoration materials of the surface finish for buildings especially the ceramic tiles, and researches the main factors that affects the accuracy of IR thermography through numerical simulation and experiment. With the Fluent numerical simulation and experiments, it investigates the effects of the tiles'surface temperature caused by the geometrical size of the bonded delaminated defects (thickness, area), then gets the conclusion that with the accretion of the geometrical size of the defect itself, the influences to the ceramic tiles'surface temperature increases; and it studies on the effects of tiles'surface temperature caused by the defects with the burying depth of the defects, then gets the conclusion that with the augment of the burying depth, the influences decreases. On top of theses, it also makes a research on the impacts of detecting accuracy of the IR thermography affected by the cross-aperture between the ceramic files, which turns out that the effects are so small that can be ignored. The research on the surface color of the ceramic files through experimentation indicates that the darker of the ceramic files, the more influences there would be. Through experimentation, it has a deep study on the IR thermograph to perception depth of the delaminated defects, the perception area of defects, the distinguishing instances of the different forms of defects. Then the results show that to those defects whose burying depths are more than 50mm, and delaminated defects whose the areas are smaller than 30╳30mm2, it is rather hard for the IR thermogrpahy to detect. It utilizes the thermoelectric couple and thermal imaging system for the first time to monitor the internal heat conduction of the decoration for the buildings, and the uses the thermal imaging system and thermoelectric couple of copper constantan to follow up the monitoring to the surface temperature of the tiles and the temperatures in many...
