Recently, with the development of the domestic electric power system, the scale of electric power system expands greatly, become more and more huge and complex. Thus, higher dependability and efficiency of electric power are required. The dissipation factor of the capacitive equipment only rests with the material's characteristics and is independent of size or shape. So it is one of the most effective means to prefigure the insulating disfigurement of the dissertation equipments. Aiming at on-line supervision of capacitive equipment's insulation, this dissertation performs some studies on the improving of the algorithmic routine of dissipation factor and its applications.Firstly, this dissertation makes an in-depth study on the principium of on-line supervision of capacitive equipment's insulation. Diversified algorithmic routines that based on software are analysed and compared to find out their merits or defects. And the reasons which could result errors to on-line supervision are discussed, then brings forward some advice for betterment. Besides, the common digital filtering methods are compared. Considering the special characteristics of useful signals and noises in the electric power system, the traditional filtering methods meet their restrictions. So this dissertation brings Wavelet analysis into on-line supervision because of its excellent filtering performance.Secondly, because of the faultiness of these algorithmic routines of dissipation factor in existence, this dissertation puts forward an improved correlation function algorithm based on wavelet analysis, and the improved algorithm focuses on two lesding aspects: one is the methods to reduce noise and distill the fundamental, the other is the means to reduce the errors resulted by frequency fluctuating. Eventually, the dissertation concludes that the improved algorithmic routine is more precise than the harmonic analysis algorithmic routine to calculate the dissipation factor.finally this dissertation Expatiating on hardware and software designs of the dissipation factor calculating module .the hardware design including the collection of supervising signals, the choice of the disposing CMOS chip and their electro circuit schematics. The on-line supervision controlling software is exploited using VB, and the integration system and practice testify the dependability of the improved method.
