Inertia brake, designed according to inertia braking principle, is new kind of device which has integrated the brake and coupling and transformation from one function to the other in one body. The inertia brake is attributed to pure mechanical product, which has the function of both resisting gale and braking, and is used safely and reliably, so it is popular very much with the customers of port, metallurgy, mine, lifting and transporting vocation and so on. In order to satisfy the customer's more strict command to the inertia brake, Changsha Sanzhan Inertia Brake Co.,Ltd. and Hunan University allied to develop a set of equipment of inertia brake test rigs, which can test and research the property of starting torque, braking torque, vibration of axis and so on to all kinds of models and specification of inertia brake to improve the property and quality of product.The key problem of design of inertia brake test rigs is the simulation of inertia load. From the starting of running and braking property of inertia load in this article, the method of simulation of inertia load is analyzed, including the simulation of reducer and flywheel, and the electronic simulation idea is brought forward in allusion to the problem of those methods. Through the introduction of VVVF theory and the control thought of PLC, the mathematic model of test rigs is founded which is run under the mode of electronic simulation, which is the theory foundation for the realization of control system. On the basis of VVVF theory the electric control system of test rigs is designed, which includes design of main electro-circuit, VVVF control system, PLC control system, computer system of collecting signal and data processing and so on. The core control of the whole control system is accomplished by PLC, including sequence action control, numerical calculation, processing control of frequency and so on, and the realization of VVVF is accomplished by transducer. The simulation of inertia load is completed well by union of both PLC and transducer. In the system of"direct measurement"of inertia brake, the braking torque is measured by the right torque sensor of inertia brake. In the thought of special construct of inertia brake, the work braking test data of inertia brake is analyzed, mathematic differential equation is founded, the variable situation of braking torque is analyzed through program calculation, some problem is discovered and suggestion is put forward to the application of test rigs and inertia brake.For the success of development of inertia brake test rigs, the effective means of product check and test of kinds of property of inertia brake is provided, and the data...
