Vehicle brake is a kind of device that can slow down or stop vehicle, which guarantees a reliable park of vehicle. It is an important part of the vehicle safety device. Brake instrument is the test device which is used to measure and analyzs brake performance and quality. The inertia brake instrument can reconstrct the brake working conditions. However,it contains a very large inertial mass flywheel, so it has some shortcomings, such as high-precision processing, huge in size and large of weight, severe vibration,inconvenient transportation and so on.The main topic of this research is the inertia brake simulation instrument, application of electric inertia simulation technology to transform and improve the system's function. The use of electric inertia simulation technology simplify the traditional flywheel inertia's complexity of the structure, expand the scope of the test stand and accuracy, take on high scientific value.The developmental and improved work of the test-bed can be divided into four parts: analysis of the test-bed design;hardware platform structures;software platform design; brake performance analysis. The whole braking system's design core is Electric inertia simulation; As a perfect software platform base on the virtual instrument technology, LabVIEW is developed to meet a set of tests and teaching demonstrations. The main function of the brake test-bed is to test the brake's performance,acquisition speed,braking torque,brake pedal pressure,brake pipe pressure,temperature,and so on. It implements the entire braking process monitoring.The main contents mainly include two parts: The first part is to test and validate the method of electric inertia simulation and performance. The main application of collected data,and the mechanical flywheel inertia test data and actual test data were analyzed to amend inertia brake instrument theory's shortcomings,and analyzed the situation of the feasibility of a variety of simulation. The second part is the brake performance analysis. After verified the test instrument's accuracy, the brake performance testing standards can be used to design a set of software testing,data analysis,and measured the formation of brake performance test reports.
