With modernized large-scale production and processing developing, enterprises are enhancing working ability of manufacturing equipment. At the same time, they are also continuous probing production logistics potential to improve the overall efficiency of production systems. The automated storage and retrieval (AS/AR) warehouse applications enable enterprises to greatly enhance the speed of production logistics, and the stacker crane as the AS/AR warehouse core logistics equipment, its efficiency level directly affects the operational efficiency and economic performance of AS/AR warehouse.The Research object is the TD115 single mast stacker crane of KSE. The factors which affect the single mast stacker crane working at high speed are researched and confirmed to assure normal operation of the stacker crane at the high speed. During the research, the FEM is used to calculate the structure performance parameters of the stacker crane's metal framework (mast and bottom beam), which including the stacker crane static rigidity, dynamic rigidity, strength, modality and fatigue limit. It's proved that FEM is feasibility through comparisons between empirical formula calculations and FEM calculations. It's simulated and analyzed that the stacker crane dynamic characteristics with multi-body system kinematics, dynamics and contact dynamics. It's completed to build the stacker crane kinematics and dynamics models. The dynamics simulation model is used to research three common works and two emergencies performances, which are the stacker crane starting and accelerating, free sliding, braking, locking the rear wheel and impacting on bumper block. It's proved that the friction between the wheels and the railroad was enough to drive the stacker crane through the three common works simulations. And the emergency simulations indicate that the stacker crane can work safely. The dynamics models with flexibility mast is used to study the causes and internal relations which cause the mast swing when the stacker crane accelerating or decelerating, and made use of the acceleration control method based on cubic curve to reduce the mast swing.Nowadays, stacker crane researches stay at researching of structural analysis. It's little dealt with dynamic simulation researches. The multibody dynamics simulation method is first used to analyze the stacker crane working and emergencies.
