As a new industry, logistics has been rapid developed with the development of economic globalization. The backward logistics has already restricted the development of region economy, at the same time, the rising labor costs led to automatic logistics’s explosive growth, Information logistics distribution centers are being speedily established, the automated storage and retrieval (AS/AR) warehouse is the important nodes of logistics distribution center and the stacker crane is the key equipment of the distribution center, stacker crane’s performance will determine the work efficiency of distribution center, So improve the performance of the stacker has an important significance for the entire logistics center.The purpose of this paper is designing a light-weight and high-speed stacker crane by Virtual Prototype Technology. Light-weight and high-speed stacker crane is applied to little delivery centers. It can move the20kilograms cargo. Also intensive storage system requires the light-weight and high-speed stacker crane can move cargo quickly. This paper analyzes the character of external force and ultimate load of the mast and studied the light-weight and high-speed stacker crane walking characteristics. The light-weight and high-speed stacker can’t meet the predetermined acceleration index with the traditional structure. A clamping device was designed to improve it’s acceleration, we also study the stacker crane’s dynamic characteristicThrough the study of light-weight and high-speed stacker crane’s virtual prototype technology, I learnt the finite element and dynamics theory. After comparing the theoretical calculation result and experimental data, this paper analyzed the error source and summarized the virtual prototype technology in the actual production process of the general steps.
