With the implement of urbanization, there're thousands of small towns to construct. However, corresponding criterion still haven't come out ,such as water and drainage quota, which result in no standard to refer to, what's more, absenting systemic researches on variation rules and coefficients of total water and wastewater in towns. Therefore, the construction of many towns takes on luxury evidently. This study relies on National Key Technologies R&D Program of 10th five years, that is,"Research on Key Technologies about Construction of Foundation Establishment in Towns". Based on the actual investigation and other collection, data of integrated water demand and wastewater drainage about 300 typical towns have been obtained. The paper presents the analysis of data related to integrated water and wastewater characteristics refer to availability and representative. The result is as follows:①Referring to plotting principles of town scale from researching results of"the 9th five years", the conception, i.e.,"town group", is brought forward for the first time. And the study system of typical town group is built successfully.②"Hypo-average Method"and"Drawing Method"are adopted to gain the range of integrated water quantity and tonnage, which offers the reference for water quantity indexes choosing of the same type towns.③Through drawing the curve of towns integrated water quantity and tonnage, its variation rule can be obtained, and corresponding engineering reply measures are also suggested. Of all, daily water quantity of towns is provided with obvious"holiday effect", i.e., water quantity on weekends appears abruptly decreasing trend, and the variation rule of tonnage is the same with that of water quantity.④By typical investigation and testing, it is suggested that daily and hourly variation coefficient is 1.75 to 1.95, 2.0 to 2.4, respectively. And for the first time, an equation as Kh=–0.1341Ln(Qd)+3.4422,which connects daily variation coefficient and daily average water consumption, is suggested for town water and wastewater engineering design to refer.⑤In terms of using correlation analysis theory and method, relationship between industrial structure and water consumption variation has been analyzed. Through actual calculation of towns in Changshu, Jiangsu, it is concluded that we should energetically develope the tertiary industry, depend on the secondary industry, and connect saving-water agriculture in towns, which is necessary for development of industrial...
