The high-speed linear motion unit based on linear motor, which cancels all of transmission elements from the servo motor to the table and shortens the length of feed transmission link to zero, is a kind of"Zero Transmission". The linear motor not only simplifies the construction, but also increases the speed, acceleration, sensitivity, rigidity and accuracy of the linear motion unit. In high-speed linear motion unit, linear motor will substitute the ball screw, which is an irresistible trend.The study is a sub-item of"High-speed Transmission Experiment Platform". The main mission of study is to design a high-speed linear motion unit based on linear motor and to research the experimental techniques of performance evaluation. The topic comprises the following parts: (1)The present state and perspectives of linear motor application techniques in high-speed linear motion unit at home and abroad are introduced abstractly; (2)The basic structure, principle, types and characteristics of linear motor are represented.(3) The design methodology of high-speed linear motion unit is discussed;(4)The experimental techniques of the main performance of high-speed linear motion unit based on linear motor are study preliminarily; (5)The experiment ,which is designed to measure the positioning accuracy of high-speed linear motion unit by means of laser interferometer ,is described;(6)The design of high-speed linear motion unit of Chongqing University is introduced.The design of high-speed linear motion unit based on linear motor lay a foundation for further experiment research.
