Generally speaking, in gear transmission design, dynamic load coefficient is applied to reflect the effect of dynamic load, however, calculating of dynamic load coefficient uses average value of meshing stiffness, neglects the effect of transient stiffness, which is differential from practical condition. Because the stiffness changes at the transitions between two pairs of gear teeth and one pair in the during of gear transmission. Besides, manufacturing errors, all these can cause transient change of load. So, it is necessary to studying dynamic load alone the line of action in gear transmission, based on manufacturing errors and transient stiffness.Firstly, the paper uses Weber's formula for calculating the deformation of teeth, obtains overall meshing stiffness of gear teeth at different time. Based on it, this paper considers base pitch errors and profile errors, applies ISO's formula, gains the variation curve of dynamic load in one meshing period. From the result, it is found that the dynamic load is cyclically variance, because of the meshing stiffness of gear teeth is periodic variation. In the...
