The development of science because that a new observed means was been acquired. Now, we have entered the age of information, instrument has become the necessary tool to acquire, convert, access and handle information. It has been a tool to open out the regulation of material moving, too. In addition, people call it as the necessary tool of the three major supports of the sign of ages of the information science. Instrument is also a important content of new technique revolution. In the course of modern construct, people have a further order to the instrument that has monitor function to the product quality. As a result, instrument can promote the technique of national economy, carrying on the technique reformation, enlarging productivity and social economic benefit, developing the leading industry of economizing the energy and material. In a large extend, the level of instrument appearance reflects the level of science and technique and the level of productivity of a country. The thermocouple is the most common appearance in the field of measure temperature. Its application has caused the changes of spanning centuries in the technique of product and measure science. Thermocouple is simple, easy been manufactured, cheap, high precise and wide scope of measuring. Currently, thermocouple has been widely used in the many hot work appearances.The Multifunctional Temperature Measurement Instrument introduced in the thesis was developed by conbining a MCS-51 8-bit microcontroller system and a conventional temperature measurement component-thermocouple. The mathematic model and measurement principle for the instrument are very simple. In the design of the instrument, the electronic components with the features of disturbance resistance, low temperature drift and high precision were used. And during system designing and PCB designing, EMC was well regarded.
