In order to guarantee the minimum line loss under the conditions of active power and to increase the power factor of electric net, parallelly connecting the capacitances to compensate the power factor in the high-low distribution of power grids is one of the effective ways to conserve electric energy. During the reactive power compensation in recent years, sometimes the electronic components of capacitance compensation case are damaged. Due to the particularity of the operation of capacitance compensation case, it is necessary to understand the operation of capacitance compensation case, properly analyze the cause of damage, eliminate the hidden danger and improve the design. Based on the detecting analysis, the fundamental reason of damage is caused by higher components of high-order harmonic wave of power grid voltage. To solve this problem, programmable logic controller and non-contact power module are adopted to carry out the optimizing run of no-touch capacitance connection. By this way, optimum compensation of capacitance case can be ensured when high-order harmonic wave in the power grid occur, and electric arc is also prevented during capacitance switching.In this paper, we mainly introduces the harmonic wave analysis, the operational unit of constant electric current branch for the purpose of optimizing running of capacitance compensation case, detecting unit of excessive high-order harmonic wave in the power gird voltage, detecting unit of angle of power factor and programming module. The test of capacitance switching indicates that the above-mentioned design has an important theoretical significance and useful value. These designs means not to much for the cost production of capacitance case, so the high ration of performance to price make them worth to be popularized.
