Throughout the development of China there were numbers of frustration. Two of the most serious problems are lack of culture and the shortage of land resources, from which the issue starts in and studies the application of the native cultural elements in small sits to develop the usage of landscape on medium of regional culture communication and how to combine cultural elements and landscape elements. At the same time, demonstrate the inevitability development of small site landscape at the conditions of the usage of land resources, the cultural experience in different scales and methods of culture diffusion. The issue raises "three-conceptions", which called the physical environment, the situations and the dimension and the means to make use of the solutions of landscape designing to express the "three conceptions", in which the "dimension" is the nucleus. When it comes to the methods of studies, the environmental psychology can be used to research the small site landscape of regional cultural elements in a scientific measure of the human perceptions with environments. Also one of the most emphasis elements is space, which is the subject investigated that contains the spatial classification, spatial organization and so on. The spatial organization composites the research framework and the semiology provide theoretical support to study and explore the process of embellishment and symbol extraction. Then transform the regional cultural elements to landscape elements. The issue is aimed at a general survey theory for landscape deigning of small site that is not a instruction for specific project of landscape but the general characteristics in landscape designing.
