Whether it was nature formed or not, wetland was special charming and attractive for it's abundant species and life activities. In recent years, as the comprehension of wetland grows, all the ecological functions of wetland in human settlement was attached great importance to. As a low cost and a high efficiency nature technology to deal with waster water and polluting substance in rainwater, artifical wetland will be applied in more fields. On the other hand, with the rapid economic development and higher standard of living, waterscape has been widely set up in the residential districts in order to meet people's demands of entertainment and living. The waterscape has already been an indispensable element of residential environment and a key point in housing developer's propaganda.As many other countries in the world, China is confronted with increasingly water pollution and the worse of aquatic environment. Most of these problems are result from the waster water from urban residence. It is urgent to treat domestic sewage at the very beginning- urban residence. The purpose of this thesis is to make good use of the manifold functions of construct wetland, such as it's function to clean water and beautify our environment, so as to lighten the problems of the increasingly water pollution and the worse of aquatic environment, and to meet people's longing for the ecological housing with waterscape, and to keep sustainable development of the aquatic environment of urban residence. At the same time to provide related information and knowledge for people to get deep understanding of the value of wetland.Aquatic environment of residence is the cell of ecological city. Adjust each element in the system of aquatic environment according to sustainable development theory and optimum project. By this way, the unreasonable mode of the water resources allocation can be improved. This article make use of the rainwater, waster water and medium water in residential districts as the source of artifical wetland, and combine the technology of artifical wetland, argued the feasibility of the water resources transform and sustainable utilization in residential districts.
