| In many domains such as the temperature control for medical treatment and semi-conductor laser, it needs a high precision temperature control system. The common characteristic is the demand for the higher degree of the stability of the temperature, and the heating, refrigeration conversion system should be quick and swift, which could reach the temperature that is needed in a very short period of time. However, this limitation makes the traditional temperature control technique does not meet these requirements. The semi-conductor temperature control equipment, which is examined in this paper, adopts the method of refrigerating with the semi-conductor. Refrigerating with the semi-conductor is a temperature control technique utilizing the Peltier Effect, with the advantages of little cubage, light weight, long life-span, no noise disturbance, no engine movement. It is refrigerating and heating very swiftly and quickly. The precision of the temperature control is pretty high, and there is no need for refrigerator, making no harm to the environment either.This paper first analyzes the key techniques of the semi-conductor technology according to the physical features of the Thermoelectric cooler (TEC), and then provides the overall blue-print design of this system. The system adopts the closed-loop controlling system, which greatly strengthens the ability of disturbance resistance. The driving circuit, which is specially designed for the semi-conductor refrigerator can conveniently adjust the size and the direction,which passes through the TEC electricity so as to fully make use of the advantages of swift and quick refrigerating and heating. And the controlling method of PI makes the temperature control quick and stable. At the same time, the paper completes the mutual communication between temperature control equipment and computer by way of serial interface and USB interface, so as to realize the remote control of computer to the temperature control equipment. Finally, the performance test of the semi-conductor temperature control equipment researched in this paper is carried out, and the results show that the precision of the temperature of the controller of semi-conductor can reach to±0.2℃, and the degree of temperature stablization is less than±0.05℃.
