Investigation About Industrial Aesthetic Design Based On Aesthetic Factors

As the development of individuation, the importance of aesthetic design has become widely and socially recognized. In this study we developed a 3d model based on the aesthetic factors of industrial products. The model helps users to reach different shapes by changing its aesthetic parameters. On the base of the above work, we constructed an aesthetic evaluation system by using the learning capabilities of a neural network. The main work is as follows:The abstract of product's aesthetic factors, this work is the foundation of the following works. In this study we took the industrial sewing machine as example, collected 37 kinds of sewing machines in the market, and abstracted the main aesthetic factors which can express the shape of the product.We contributed an industrial sewing machine model on the UG work space based on the aesthetic factors had been abstracted. The shape of the model is controlled by its aesthetic parameters, different parameters' combination has different shape of product, further more the shape is the expression of the aesthetic factors.We defined the assessment factors, took the industrial sewing machine models which had been controlled by the aesthetic parameters as examples, through the way of clients interview, we got the aesthetic evaluation of these models.Took the aesthetic parameters and the according evaluation values as the training samples, we constructed an aesthetic evaluation system using a neural network. Through this evaluation system we input new aesthetic parameters of the sewing machine model and get its evaluation value.
