Construction is an important part of campus’s culture. It’s not only a placeto cultivating students, but also influencing their aesthetic education through its"meaningful form" unconsciously. The aesthetic education function of campusbuilding is implicit and abstract, but its’ influence of people’s aesthetic abilitycan’t be ignored.The campus building in Lingnan area is the objective of this research. Thisresearch is analyzing through the aesthetic of Lingnan region’s construction inthe colleges and universities. The research also digging out three periods ofhistorical evolution with the standard of building adaptability: the building ofwesternization movement period to the Republic of China period, theestablishment of new China period to the end of cultural revolution period andthe building after1980s period. This research selected three campuses in eachperiod; they are Lingnan University, South China Institute of Technology andGuangzhou University Town.By the architectural aesthetic analysis of Lingnan area universities,founding out that campus architecture is an art which can improve the aestheticeducation. There are three aesthetic judgment aspects; aesthetic perception,aesthetic sensibility and aesthetic imagination. Besides, the building as a part ofuniversity culture also has its own culture integration. Lingnan architecturalaesthetic education in colleges and universities also experienced the historicalchanges. Its show that the aesthetic education future trends are going to be moremanifestly and softening because of rational lost.Contemporary aesthetic education development is a process of constantadaptation.Cultural rational lost shows the aesthetic education is more and moreimportant and campus buildings architecture is becoming the most common art to the students. Therefore, the architecture itself has to improve its aestheticvalue in order to improve the aesthetic appreciation of the colleague students.
