Hydropower station of surge shaft is a familiar building, surge shaft is a key part of hydropower station, and has huge volume and complicate load and boundary condition, which is embedded in the rock mass, so it belongs to underground structure. On the guide of two theory of underground structure analysis: load structure method and layer structure method, structural mechanics and 3-D finite element method can be used in the analysis of surge shaft. In the structural mechanics method, elastic thin wall column shell and thin slab theory is used in the computation, and consider two rigid conjunctions, adopt underground frame bending moment allotment method to admeasure the wall of a well and the scaleboard bending moment. This kind of calculation method led to go into a more simplification and suppose, can't consider silo special type of figure and underground structure lotus of the structure to carry etc. factor of partial variety circumstance, consider shortage to the loading ability of surrounding rock. Adjust space of pressing the well to be subjected to a dint circumstance for the sake of the accurate reflection, adopt a 3D FEM to carry on a calculation dont lose to a kind of valid method. But the FEM calculation involve rock mass, anchor pole, jet concrete, reinforced concrete etc. the emulation of various space structure and construction process, meet a lot of difficulties in actually the usage.
