Information has become a kind of resources shared by the whole world in modern society, which has profoundly influenced the progress of mankind. It cause great changes in the way of acquiring knowledge and experience, subsequently, bring big changes to people's way of life as well. As the quality of life improved, demand rise to build more and higher standard information industry infrastructures which is so closely related to people's daily life activities.Jilin Power Corporation now faces the non-convenience problem of client inquiry in the hall and manual reply to inquiry slow and non-efficient. It want to have a software system to automatically reply clients'electricity consumption inquiry, also they hope such a system can be revised and improved later on for changes from single inquiry function to full information display, automatic broadcast and finally a service platform to the clients, which can meet the increasing the market demand.This paper mainly describes the whole process of recording the power corporation's requirement, initial design of the system, revision and improvement of the system for more capacities. Through this paper we can see the function of the product, process of development and future trend of the technology.This paper includes the following main points:1. The software structure layout of the system, kinds and fundamentals of the embedded system, which can provide initial knowledge of the basic sorting-out and the operation system in the system.2. The software and hardware design procedure to the system; the progress chart showing the software design procedure to give a software development direction. The selection of hardware according to the capacity requirement and cost.3. The software design of the system. Through the break-up of the main programme and its related module, it describes in detail the actual performance and function of each module in operation.4. The prospect of future development of the system, it describes the future development trend of the system and its application.
