Large span, high speed, high efficiency, low lost and simple structure are the main advantages of a cable crane, therefore, it is widely used in the field such as the lifting and the construction of mineral industry, forest industry, bridge construction and water electricity engineering. The cable crane consists of main cable, working cable, tower and trolley.The usage and development history of cable crane and anchor equipment are introduced in this thesis. The tension force equation of the main cable is deduced according to the theory of suspending cable, therefore, the base of the main cable selecting is found.The tower is the support of the main cable and the forces acting on the tower are very complex. In order to insure the security of the tower, the wind cable must be set up. This thesis put forward creatively the theoretic model which the wind cable is work together with tower, the formula which the wind cable is used to reduce the horizontal load of the tower is deduced, and the theory for the tower analysis is given. The trolley work cable and detain cable are also designed according to the necessary of construction.To build a large span arch bridge is a systematic engineering and all kinds of work must be organized. The constructions scheme of the arch bridge according to the cable crane is pointed out in this thesis. It is proved that the design and research of the arch bridge are successful, and the good economic and social efficiency are obtained.
