The thesis research is one part of the project of"Research of ground settlement and risk assessment on urban engineering construction in soft soil area"(No. 50478072) supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China. The post-construction settlement problems of high buildings in soft soil area are analyzed and the prediction method of the long term settlement is studied. The main research work includes as follows:1. The improvement calculation method of loading transmitting rule of the single pile and pile group is presented, and the calculation program has been finished. The analysis results of engineering cases show that the improvement calculation method is available.2. Comparing the load distribution of pile tip of the improvement calculation method with the traditional pressure expanding method and the measurement data in the field, the calculation results are in agreement with the measurement data in the field.3. The load of pile tip is simplified the linear loading for the sublayered soft soil layer of the pile foundation and the consolidation problem of the sublayered soft soil layer is solved by Laplace transform method. The calculation results demonstrate that the dissipation speed of the pore water pressure of the sublayered soft soil layer is very slower , thus the subsidence deformation of the sublayered soft soil layer will be the long term developing process. The research of the long term subsidence deformation is necessary. The inclination of high buildings may be caused because there are sublayered soft soil layers under the pile foundation. The predicting calculation method of inclination of high buildings is put forward in the thesis.4. The calculation results of settlement and inclination for three engineering cases confirm the effect and availability of the improvement calculation method of loading transmitting rule and long term subsidence.
