In recent years, the power demand has been driven by fast increasing of Jiangsu's economic. The high record of social electricity consumption and its risen rate has been updated for several times. It's a big challenge for power supply in order. The conflict between supplying and demanding side centralizes in lacking-power through whole year, specially in summer while only partly or seasonal lacking-power in 2002. The increasing of industrial and residential consumption causes the situation. The problems of how to promote using efficiency of power is still existing. So some measures involving economical and technological ones are necessary for fulfilling the goals such as promote reliability and efficiency of power system and so on. In order to help administrators make decisions analyzing the local load characteristics of Wuxi then taking efficient measures is required.This paper introduces the development of GDP and power supply in Wuxi firstly. Then it analyses the load characteristics of Wuxi, mainly on load-rate of years and typical daily load data or curves so that we can find the main specialty of the local load.After that, the relativity analysis on temperature and load characteristics carries on, especially on typical day and sensitivity between temperature and maximum daily load in summer and winter.Finally analyzing the relativity of price and load characteristics. Confirming and calculating the relativity by compared the situation of 6 main industries before the measures taken and afterward.
