For a long time,the composition of residential power consumption is black box for residents and power companies.Residents pay the power companies for power consumption each month.But residents do not have a clear understanding of the power consumption’s composition,leading to residential power management is lack of science and rationality,which wastes a lot of energy unconsciously.The power companies do not know well the composition of residential power consumption,restricting the accuracy of power load forecasting and the refinement of load molding and power pricing.The analysis of residential power consumption’s composition is based on residential limited power consumption information to decompose the total power consumption into a sum of a single or a classic appliances’ specific power consumption.The existing methods for analyzing the composition of residential power consumption demand high frequency sampling devices and are hard to deal with multi-state appliances effectively.In order to solve the aforementioned problems,a novel residential power consumption’s analysis method is proposed in this paper.The main contents are as follows:First,this paper builds a power consumption’s information collection system using a smart meter.The existing methods for analyzing the composition of residential power consumption demand high frequency sampling devices,leading to the existing methods can not be widely applied.In order to solve the problem,this paper builds a power consumption’s information collection system using a ordinary smart meter.This paper collects the power consumption’s information of several selected typical appliances.According to the collected information,typical appliances’ current load curves and power load curves are plotted.The results show that there are obvious differences among the steady-state current load curves and the steady-state power load curves of each typical appliance.It is theoretically feasible to complete the analysis of residential power consumption’s composition based on the load curves of typical appliances.Then,a method for analyzing the composition of residential power consumption based on appliances’ steady-state current load curves is proposed.This method considers appliances’ steady-state current load curve as load feature,and establishes the mathematical model between the actual total current load curve and the fitting current load curve of each appliance.Then,the genetic algorithm is applied to search the existence coefficient and the open time coefficient of each appliance,thus to realize the analysis of residential power consumption’s composition.Simulation results show that the proposed method can determine the open time and operation mode of appliances accurately,and can also realize the analysis of limited multi-state and continuous variable state appliance.Finally,in order to avoid the situation that the result of analysis of residential power consumption’s composition is not accurate caused by the similarity among appliances’steady-state current load feature,a method combining appliances’ steady-state current load curves and appliances’ steady-state power load curves is proposed.This method considers appliances’ steady-state current load curve and appliances’ steady-state power load curve as load features.Simulation results show that the proposed method is more accurate than the analysis method of residential power consumption’s composition considering single load feature.
