In the modern industy, motors have been the basis of all the power machines as a driving machine. With the great progress of the technology and the continuous improvement of the industry controlling, especially the requirement of the auto producting, it's necessary to introduce a kind of motor control and protecting machines to remote control, examine and analyze the huge machines in the producting process, therefore, it's of great importance that to make sure the safety operation of motors, and once accident happens, the fault must be found out at the first time and fixed to asure to recover the producting.There are many types of the motor protectors and the heat relays were very popular one years before.As the swift development of the semiconductor industry, relays have been placed by the digital motor protector to prevent motor from breaking down. Nowadays, the popular protectors, which are based on the single chip machines, are mainly used to measure and check the parameters of motor and protect motors in several ways. However, such kinds of protectors are easy constructed and single functional.This article introduces a new kind of intelligent digital motor protector based on higher level chips of BF531 DSP and AD73360 with more abundant digital chips and circuits can start the motors in different ways with several digital IO ports and check the statement of motors; it can measure lots of parameters with high accuracy with Quasi-synchronous sampling algorithm; It also can examine harmonic distortion of the system and protect motors through alert and tripping from the main power supply; It has tens of intelligent and accrate protection functions including heating over loading protecting; It has powerful data storing system which can store ten history record for users to check and It can connect each other with industrial PC for users to control motor states remotely. Besides, it has intelligent HMI to make the manipulating process very convenient for users. Based on the requirement above, this paper has researched the agrithm of the electrical parameters and designed the both hardware and software of the system. Eventually, through the present experiment and qualification, the intelleget motor analysis protector has fulfilled all the functions and requirements, and we believe that the protector will be widely ultilized to improve the efficient and recude the cost in the place which motors are put to use.
