In the recent years, large-span bridge with high-pier has been growing up rapidly with the development of transportation enterprise. In the process of construction, cantilever beam is changing continuously. In order to ensure the bridge safty and stress can accord with design, deformation, force and stability has to be analysis. The problem of nonlinear behavior and stability of bridge becomes more and more important with the increase of its span and pier height. The concrete contents are as follows:Firstly, it elaborates the basic mechanical traits of the long-spans continous rigid frame bridge with high-piers. Discusses nonlinear analysis of the beam bridges with high-piers and introduces the principles of nonlinear analysis of the high-piers using the finite element method. In this paper, An engineering case—Long Tan He Great Bridge is considered, the bridge is a long span continuous rigid frame bridge with thin-wall and high-piers. By utilizing the current finite element program MIDAS/Civil, construction simulation static analysis is performed. The influence of static elastic and geometrical nonlinear behavior on structure is compared. Through finite element analysis, reveal how single thin walled pier and double thin walled pier, with different height and thickness of pier, affects to structure of bridge. The simulation analysis of the overall structure of the bridge at the various construction stages, considering concrete creep and shrinkage, system transformation and construction ballasting.Secondly, combined with Long Tan He Great Bridge, it structure free-vibration is analyzed with the finite element method. On above-mentioned foundations of working, Wind-resistant behavior and P-△ effect of the pier in the typical stage is analyzed.Finaly, the paper summarizes the investigation development on stability of bridges with high-piers and some existing process; the finite-element method is introduced for the stabilization analysis of high piers. The differences of two stability analysis theories and the range of the application in practical engineering are...
