The research in this paper is an important part of the 3D analysis of dynamic and seismic response of curved long span bridges with high piers, which is the sub project of the research of the design and construction technology of curved long span bridges with high piers, one of the national transportation development scientific project in the western regions. The purpose is to seek the seismic sensitive parameters of straight and curved lone span continuous rigid-frame bridge with high piers through plentiful numerical analyses.Time history analysis is adopt for straight long span continuous rigid-frame bridge with high piers , the seismic response of straight continuous rigid-frame bridge is calculated, considered the effect of different parameters include earthquake waves, height of main beam, width of main beam and spans of bridge. The earthquake wave is input along longitudinal direction and lateral direction respectively. Then the rules between the peak value of the response value and different parameters are obtained.Time history analysis is adopt for curved long span continuous rigid-frame bridge with high piers also, the seismic response of curved long span continuous rigid-frame bridge with high piers is calculated , considered the effect of different parameters include excitation orientation, radius of curvature, height of main beam, width of main beam and spans of bridge. The earthquake wave is input along longitudinal direction and lateral direction respectively. Then the rule between the peak value of the response value and different parameters are obtained. The comparison between straight and curved continuous rigid-frame bridges is conducted at the same time.On the basis of all the rules, some useful conclusions about the seismic behavior aredrawn, which can give instruction to the design of the same bridge type.
