Ventricular Fibrillation is one of the most dangerous fateful Arrhythmia. Early electrical defibrillation is regarded as one of the pivotal treatment for Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Many overseas medical electronics corporations produced defibrillation apparatus, and these products have been in absolute domination of the market. So far no any domestic company has manufactured such products, and the market potential of defibrillators and AEDs is enormous.This paper is based on the work done in Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics Co., Ltd. by author, the work is for R&D of external defibrillator based on Biphasic Truncated Exponential. Author introduces the process of R&D of defibrillator, and brings forward a resoluble project according to the research of defibrillation system.This paper first studies the technical characteristics of defibrillator from several oversea corporations. A scheme program has been proposed on the base of author's investigation on monophasic-wave system. We discuss in detail both hardware and software's designing idea as well as implementation methods of bihpasic-wave defibrillator system. In hardware design, ADI's Blackfin series ADSP-BF531 is chosen to be central controlling chip, and also the communications between DSP and PC via serial port and external circuit through SPI are introduced. In addition to study the implementation of Switch Power Supply in the charge circuit, this paper will then present the control strategy for switch using key parameters obtained in function simulation in order to optimize controlling PWM. In software design, embedded, real time, and multitask structure have been adopted as central controlling software. We schedule the threads program, and manage discharge by using VDK, and internal interrupt, respectively, to ensure the accuracy of discharge control. The program in PC is realized on the base of MFC of VC++6.0.The discharge waveform conforms to the plans and specifications according to the test.
