In recent years, the sensorless control technology of the PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) has developed rapidly with the fast development of power electronics technology, micro-electronic technology and modern control theory. The speed regulation system of PMSM without sensor not only has a simple structure, high efficiency, excellent performance and easy maintenance, but also has a small volume, low cost, high reliability and some special application. This paper, on the background of application of PMSM in the Frequency Air-conditioners, applying the method based on SMO(Sliding Mode Observer), has researched and accomplished the sensorless vector control of drive and control system of the sinusoidal PMSM.Firstly, the sensing method of the rotor position of PMSM is analyzed in detail. After that, an estimated method based on SMO is designed and completed, which has a strong robustness, simple control algorithm and easy implementation of engineering application.On the basis of analyzing the mathematical model and vector control principle of PMSM, the system model of the sensorless control of PMSM based on SMO is established, which provides a theoretical basis for carrying out simulation and experiment. At the same time, the drive and control system of sensorless PMSM based on SMO is designed. The system design includes hardware circuit design and software program module design.Finally, the drive and control system of sensorless PMSM based on SMO is researched by simulation and experiment. Using the MATLAB/Simulink software, the simulation of the system is carried out, and the simulational results verify the availability of the method of sensorless control. Then, the drive and control system is experimentized on the experimental platform of sensorless PMSM system based on TMS320LF2407A DSP(Digital Signal Processor). The experimental results agree with the simulational results well, and testify the system performance meets the design requirements.
