Masonry structure is widely used in our country, and the structure made of masonry and RC has rich economical and practical values because it could save cement, steel, and so on, what's more the material could be obtained locally and easily. Especialy, this kind of structure is applied in backward area suitably, and it meets the necessity of the building socialism new country policy of our country now. But there are different ideas on aseismic performance of this kind of structure during the construction documents auditing because it is not defined clearly in the aseimic code in our country. So all these factors limit widespread use of this kind of structure.From the view of aseismic performance of the structure, the instructional building of MaQun of NanJing is used as the example, the structure made of RC and masonry is ananlysed. What's more, advices and conclusions are supplied. These advices and conclusions has pactical engineering meanings.Specific researches as follows:Accroding pratical engineering , The theiry of RC frame-Shear Wall structure are adopted in the paper.With SAP2000 and ETABS analysis softwares, and using matheod of elastic time-history analysis. The aseismic performance of the cmposite structure is supplied in the paper according to different elastic modulars of masonry and sectional dimension of column. And during the analytic process, conclusion of elastic time-history method are compared with the conclusion of response-spectrum method. Thus the data should be more credible. Two natural earthquake wave and one artificial earthquake wave are used in the paper. The bottom shear of elastic time-history method are compared with that of response spectrum method. And after comparison, the three earthquake wave selected in the paper are suitable.One specimen with two meters one story connected to one-span RC frame paralleling to one pieice of masonary wall is constructed. And the specimen is tested under both constant vertical load and horizontal low cyclic load to investigate ductility, energy-dissipation, stiffness degradation, hysteresis curves, and failure mechanisms with the purpers of certifying the mixed structure's seismic performance. According to the results of experiment and aseismic performance analysis, the conclusions are gotten, it is feasible for the structure made of RC and masonry with four stories could satisfied 7 seimic fortification criterion.
