The single-bucket hydraulic excavator is the main kind of engineering machine, and the face-shovel hydraulic excavator is one of its primary types. The special face-shovel hydraulic excavators which are widely used in architecture, road engineering, water conservancy, agriculture exploitation, port building, national defence , etc. often excavate the exploded rocks and ore. Based on the analyzing the excavating performance of the face-shovel hydraulic excavator, this paper provides the universal analyzing method for the face-shove excavator.(1) Aiming at the properties of the boom cylinders can be floated and the bucket cylinders pin on the boom, the paper analysis the movement of the working device of the machine. A interlocked movement analyzing method is proposed and is proved in the practical application.(2) Studied the operation and working conditions of the machine, the coordinate model and mechanics model have been built. Discussing the impact of the various restrictive conditions.(3) According to the synchronous test of the attitude of working device and working pressure of hydraulic cylinders, calculate the digging resistance and then studies the connection between tangential resistance and normal resistance. The paper also study the coordinate between digging force and resistance, and verified the feasibility and correctness of the model.(4) Studied the excavating map analyzing procedure method, first-provide the excavating map overlap method. According to the practical demand , preliminary evaluation criteria has been established. And this laid the theoretical foundation of the optimum design of face-shovel hydraulic excavator .(5) Analyzing the movement of the machine's working device and pushing forces of the straight line excavating. And then study the stability of the machine.(6) Based on the upper analyzing,"The universal performance analysis software of the large face-shovel hydraulic excavator"has been programmed. It has the advantages of parameter input, and include the motion analyzing, interlocked motion analyzing, excavating map analyzing, overlap map analyzing, straight line excavating analyzing, special angle analyzing, the stability analyzing and"balance movement"...
