| In the field of medicine, the progress in medical image processing technology has great value to clinical diagnosis and therapy, theory teaching and research. A design scheme of medical image processing embedded system based on the Intel XScale architecture is proposed through researching medical image processing theory and embedded system development.To describe the basic theory of medical image processing embedded system, this paper introduces the concepts of medical image processing system and embedded system. In addition, a hardware platform of medical image processing system is designed with CPU of PXA255 processor which has the kernel of XSCALE. At first, this thesis gives the hardware design of system. The medical image processing system, which centers on the least system of the PXA255 processor, is expanded by adding program memory, data memory, UART, USB and Ethernet interface. It describes several aspects of the circuit in detail including essential principle, brief introduction of chips used and corresponding schematic diagram. And then, the software design of medical image processing system is illuminated, and the software structure principle and implementation of the system is introduced from three parts: Boot Loader, Linux device driver and system application program. Finally, the prototype system is accomplished.The medical image processing embedded system is of good performances in applicability and expandability. |
