Based on the current researches at home and abroad in the field of laser Raman spectrometer, the paper focused on the basic theories, designing principles, installing and adjusting of laser micro-Raman spectrometer with detailed principles of Raman scattering and laser con-focal microscopy.Firstly, according to the design principles and goals of the spectrometer and primary aberration theory, the optimal size and the parameters of grating, object lens, and slit were computed and confirmed. Then, the structure design of optical system, the general design of spectrometer, the software and the process of installing and adjusting were discussed in detail. And the effects of every step in the process on the imaging quality were analyzed. Lastly, the Raman spectra of some different samples were measured respectively. And then the problems in experiment and the possible reasons were analyzed. Meanwhile, the solution were raised.Two kinds of key technologies were adopted in laser micro-Raman spectrometer. First, the microscopy was used for laser Raman spectrometer so that the solid and liquid samples could be detected and analyzed in micro-area. Second, the level imaging system with dissymmetrical C-T structure was adopted to design laser micro-Raman spectrometer, which improved the resolution of spectrometer greatly. The Raman spectrums from Hg, aminophenazone, antipyrin, gliclazide and CCl4 show the performance parameters of the new-style laser micro-Raman spectrometer.The wavelength ranges from 532nm to 800nm. The resolution is 0.05nm and the converse linear dispersion is 0.73nm/mm. In a word, the design goals have been achieved ultimately.
