The intelligent home is the development direction of future home. It takes the advantage of computer and telecommunication technology to combine all the sub-system related with our life together and manage them as a whole, so as to provide the intelligent and comfortable living environment.This dissertation introduces the definition of intelligent home and its development at home and abroad, and chooses the ZigBee as networking method for the intelligent home based on the feature comparison of vast network building methods. Besides, it also designs the system structure and the hardware realization of sensor nodes. What's more, it sets up the self-organizing internal communication network and makes relevant protocol of application layer.As for the design in this dissertation, two points are important and creative. The one is the general-purpose access of senor; the other is the network building with ZigBee. According to the survey, the usual output types of sensor are summarized, and then all of them are converted into a standard signal (0-5v analog voltage) through hardware. The standardized outputs share the same A/D module by the way of multiple channels. That is the process to realize the general-purpose access of senor, and it provides an easier solution for sensor access in intelligent home. In addition to that, ZigBee is adopted to build the internal communication network in the design of dissertation. For this network, star topology is used, it is simple but effective; it is self-organizing, so it is zero-configuration when a new node is inserted into the network; it is robust because it is able to deal with the abnormal event; At last, the MCU of senor node can work in low power...
