| Nowadays, Chinese cities are undergoing highly quick urbanization. Transportation volumes are increasing significantly, and also are private cars. Too many cars are result in traffic jam, safe problem, pollution and noise. And the spatial level based on cars stop people from communication.This study firstly gives an overview of overseas theories about road system in residential area. After literature reviewed by reading relevant books, newspapers, journals and websites, the materials are discussed and analyzed through summary and simulation. On the basis of these efforts, a theory frame regarding humanity transportation system of residential area is built up. Here several residential areas in Shanghai are selected as study cases.
