Design Analysis And Optimization On Retractile Disc Cutter Of TBM

Disk cutter is one of the most important components of TBM, but internal research on TBM, especially to disc cutter is on the underway stage. To working effectively in compound stratum, disc cutter is required to be high flexibility. It is one of the important way for TBM technology development to design new disc cutter adapt to various compound stratum.According to requirement of actual engineering project, this paper deeply analyzed new internal and external disc cutter technology of TBM, detailedly illuminated the process and method to design and develop retractile disc cutter of TBM adapt to compound stratum, and got some positive analysis results. Below are the main research contents of this paper:1. According to the working condition and characteristic of TMB, found several worst working situations.2. Detailedly analyzed the load conditions of disc cutter of TBM under it's worst working situations, and calculated the forces on all directions according to actual engineering project requirements.
