| In the power system, reactive power compensation is more and more important. And for high voltage of 6000V, the reactive power compensation based on the method of capacitor switched needs new technology that problem of capacitor series'protection. So it is significant for the compensation device running at 6000V lines that how to effectively and quickly protect the capacitor series.In this paper, the existing reactive compensator based on TSC is studied. Aimed at the advantages or disadvantages of them, a design of intelligent Thyristor Switched Capacitors (TSC) for 6000V lines is proposed based on the reactive power compensation and its theory. In this device, capacitor series relay protection and fuzzy control are applied, and the repeating switch of capacitor series was greatly decreased for the improvement of traditional nine space control. At the same time, this device could supervise the capacitor series'status to protect them based on voltage and current.The system of the device is realized mainly by CS5460A which is chip applied for electric parameter measurement, LPC2114 and SCM, and with kinds of drive circuit, arithmetic. It also owns simple operation and convenient interface. |
