The power plant model used in power system transient stability analysis takes no account of some slow dynamic progresses. It can not satisfy the demand of power system mid- and long-term stability analysis. So the study of the power plant model for power system mid- and long-term stability analysis is done to supply a detailed power plant model for power system mid- and long-term simulation to improve its accuracy. Considering the demand from the power system mid- and long-term stability analysis and the dynamic characteristics itself, a physically based power system model for power system mid- and long-term stability analysis is given and programmed. At last some simulation testes are done. The conclusion is the detailed power plant model given can reflect more key interior parameters'dynamic characteristics accurately, and the load rejection ability can also be reflected in it.
