Of all modern renewable energy sources, wind power has been the most successful, and hence gained great development. Since wind energy has the characteristics of volatility and randomness, thence wind power is erratic. With the expansion of the installed capacity of wind farms and the increased capacity of a single wind turbine, wind power system made a great impact on the grid. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a long-term process model of wind power system for studying the influence.This paper takes DFIG wind power generation system as the research object, concentrated in its operation principle, power feed-forward of inverter, long-term modeling and simulation of system, etc. The different components of system are introduced in the paper, including models of wind, turbine and drive system, generator and inverter.For the system response time is long, which easily leads to instability and other issues, this paper according to direct power control proposes power feed-forward control strategy. Models are established by using PSCAD/EMTDC. The simulation results show that power feed-forward control strategy improves the dynamic performance of the system.Modeling purpose is to reflect the impact of wind power for the grid, which means that generator and inverter accurate model is not necessary. Based on the operating characteristics generator and converter, this paper combining the functions of inverter proposes the method that three-phase controlled current source taking the place of generator and converter. Meanwhile, in order to facilitate and enhance the versatility of modeling, models use block modeling ideas. Models are established in PSCAD/EMTDC, the simulation results show that the method is effective and correct.
