At present power system stable simulation wide spread using steam turbine model is the standard model which the IEEE announced in 1973 and 1991.These models could reflect certain characteristic of the steam turbine, are easy operated in multi-machine system simulation, but could not meet mid-long term stable simulation needs. Moreover, the model used in power plant simulation machine can reflect the steam turbine characteristic in detail, but the differential equations are too many to apply multi-machine simulations. This article uses the method of the power plant simulation modelling, establishes steam turbine model that is suitable in the electrical power system the mid-term and long-term stable simulation. Using Eurostag simulation software, we made some simulation experiments to verific that the steam turbine system model can reflect power plant dynamic characteristics accurately so that can be used in power system mid-long term stable simulation.
