With rapid development of inverting technology and variety of power elements, it is possible for the vehicle-based inverter to become less volume and more efficient. In this paper, we will discuss the development of an inverter, which is used in automobile and other vehicles to provide sine wave electrical source for various sorts of detecting and communicating apparatus.Directing to the defects of former powers in efficiency and wave quality, during the whole design, we pay more attention to high efficiency and pure sine wave. The dominant idea is that, we first make sure that GTR is working in the amplify area, then take the outputs of two quasi-resonant circuit separately as power supply for two GTRs, in this situation, we can actualize the amplification of sine wave signal, and finally get a pure sine voltage in the load. The design of the inverter includes three parts, the main circuit, the hardware control circuit and the AVR singlechip system. There are three parts in the main circuit, rectifying part, quasi-resonant part and GTR amplification part. And also three parts in the hardware control circuit, these are GTR control circuit, voltage and current detecting circuit and voltage feedback circuit. AVR system checks the synchronization signal, and then delivers six control impulses, and displays sampling signal in real time. In this paper, according the above sequence, we will introduce every part in detail. In the experimental stage, we have first simulated the main circuit by PSpice software, after making sure the feasibility of the design, we have compiled software of the single-chip, drawn control circuit board and then connected and adjusted the whole hardware circuit. Finally, we obtained a perfect experimental result and made a further certification of the feasibility of the whole design.
